Canal boat holidays for Overseas Visitors

We are always pleased to welcome visitors from overseas. Maybe a few days on the canal to relax away from it all might just be the finishing touch to your holiday. Just give us a call to discuss your options. We could even provide a ‘skipper’ if it makes it easier for you. Our departure point, The Old Barn at Twyford Wharf, is well situated and a short taxi ride from Banbury railway station.

The boats are fully equipped, all you need with you are your clothes and food. We supply towels as standard. There is a large Sainsbury’s supermarket nearby and we would be happy to take you there to do your food shopping.

The cruising routes from Twyford Wharf are varied, allowing you to enjoy the trip North to Stratford-upon-Avon, moor in the canal basin in the middle of town, attend a play, or the Warwickshire ring (both 14 days), taking in both rural England and Birmingham from a completely different angle! You may decide to meander South on the Oxford Canal down to the River Thames and up to Lechlade or downstream to Henley-on -Thames.

If you want to spend some extra time exploring the delights of Warwick (it has a
very famous castle) we can recommend a
local bed and breakfast or hotel.
